This decision would cost Chris Miranda a decent amount of money from his old job, but it prevented his new job from becoming much harder before it started.
He was the offensive coordinator for O’Connor football in 2024 and taught at the North Phoenix school. In mid-December 2024, the Eagles hired former Kellis coach Ben Kullos as its new head coach.
Miranda spent nearly two months at O’Connor with Kullos. He was a finalist for the Kellis job and asked Kullos who was running the offseason program for the Cougars — quickly learning no one was.
