The Midwestern University Dental Institute, at 5855 W. Utopia Road in Glendale, will host a special event in February that will provide free dental care and consultations for Valley children.
Give Kids a Smile will take place 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 in the dental institute. Children ages 6 to 14 will have the opportunity to receive free screenings and treatments including cleanings, sealants, fillings or extractions.
The Midwestern University Give Kids a Smile program is part of a nationwide initiative to provide underprivileged children with needed dental care.
Treatments are by appointment only. Appointments may be arranged by calling 623-806-7150 or visiting www.midwestern.edu/GKAS.
Spanish-speaking faculty, staff, and students will be available. Appointments will last from one to two hours.
A parent or legal guardian of the child must be present at all times during the event. Guardians must provide proper documentation to confirm their legal authority to make healthcare decisions for the patient.
