Midwestern adds to Glendale clinic faculty

Midwestern University recently announce the addition of clinical faculty at the University’s Eye Institute and Multispecialty Clinic, located at 59th Avenue and Utopia Road in Glendale.
Wendy Huang has been appointed as an ophthalmologist and clinical associate professor. Dr. Huang graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Chicago in 2003 and received her M.D. from Rush Medical College in 2008.
In 2018 she became an attending physician at Phoenix Children’s Hospital while also serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona. Dr. Huang joined Midwestern University in 2023 as an adjunct professor.
Kimberly Klatt, Katie Neuer, Kylie Prehn and Jennifer Shuey will practice as clinical assistant professors in family medicine at the Midwestern University Multispecialty Clinic.
Dr. Klatt earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota-Rochester in health sciences, and then achieved her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University in 2019 after participating in Midwestern’s Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences program in 2015.
Dr. Klatt is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She is a Vice President of the Arizona chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
Dr. Neuer earned her Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University in 2009. She was an Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Fellow and earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016.
Dr. Neuer completed residencies in Family Medicine (Mountain Vista Medical Center, Mesa in 2019) and Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (Midwestern University Multispecialty Clinic, 2020).She began working in Family Medicine/Pediatrics at the Midwestern University Multispecialty Clinic in December 2023.
Dr. Prehn graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. She went on to earn her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2018.
In late 2022 she moved to help develop the East Valley Family Medicine Residency for Dignity Health in Gilbert. She was hired as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Midwestern University Multispecialty Clinic in May.
Dr. Shuey graduated from Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill., with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, and then earned a Master of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Florida and a Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences from Midwestern University’s Downers Grove Campus.
Dr. Shuey holds memberships in the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Academy of Neurologists, the American Osteopathic Association and the Osteopathic Cranial Academy.
Clinics include the Multispecialty Clinic, the Midwestern University Eye Institute, the Midwestern University Dental Institute, the Midwestern University Animal Health Institute, and the Midwestern University Therapy Institute in Glendale, and the Midwestern University Comprehensive Care Clinic in downtown Phoenix.
