The new Marshalls opened Aug. 20 at 7974 W. Bell Road, just west of Arrowhead Towne Center.
Earlier this year, Karibu Restaurant opened at 4945 W. Glendale Ave. It offers authentoc African food, including egusi soup, stewed goat meat, beef suya and pondu cassava.
This summer, Body Alive Glendale pilates studio offering hot yoga and other classes opened at 18561 N. 59th Ave., Suite 118.
Studio 67 Salon and Beauty Suites welcomed in The Cove Skin Lounge in March at 6760 W. Deer Valley Road. It specializes in corrective acne treatment, microneedling and chemical peels.

Along with the other locations, the Salad and Go drive-thru restaurants at 18573 N. 59th Ave., and 9121 W. Glendale Ave., in Glendale closed Aug. 4. The Dutch Bros. and 7 Brew coffee chains are battling to buy up the Salad and Go stores and convert them. According to a report by chaonstoreage.com, if Dutch Bros is able to acquire the stores, it will only convert the location at 9121 W. Glendale Ave., to a coffee shop.
