Glendale's population growth rate jumps in latest Arizona survey

Glendale remains the largest city in the West Valley and its recently slow growth rate is picking up a bit - at least according to the most recent survey.

New estimates from the Arizona Commerce Authority show that as of July 1 Glendale grew by 1.8% this year, well behind exurbs like Buckeye (5.3%), Goodyear (5%), Surprise (4.2%) and Avondale (4%).

In 2024, the city's growth rate was 1.23%. Now Glendale's 1.8% growth rate is more than the state’s growth rate of 1.3%.
