Glendale to host public meeting on proposed water, sewer rates

Residents may weigh in on potential increases

Posted

The city of Glendale will host a live information meeting on proposed water and sewer rates at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 27 inside City Council Chambers, 5850 W. Glendale Ave.

Residents may attend in person, watch on the city’s Facebook and YouTube channels, the city’s website, and on Glendale 11.

The Council provided consensus at its June 8 workshop to begin public outreach regarding proposed water and sewer rate adjustments. This is an important step to inform residents and businesses about proposed rates as Glendale works to modernize and maintain our water and wastewater infrastructure. In addition to the public meeting, the city has created a dedicated page online at glendaleaz.com/WaterRates.

Water and sewer customers may submit questions in advance to WaterRates@glendaleaz.com or call 623-930-4100. For special accommodations contact Water Services at 623-930-4116 at least three business days prior to the meeting.

Council is expected to consider adopting a Notice of Intention to increase rates at its Tuesday, Aug. 10 voting meeting. If the Notice of Intention is approved, a public hearing and vote on the proposed increases would follow on Oct. 26.
