Glendale provides unique senior prom on Valentine's Day

Posted

Senior citizens can enjoy getting glammed up with updo hairstyles, sequin dresses, shiny shoes and debonair tuxedos, then dancing to classic, beloved songs as they socialize with friends at the city of Glendale’s Senior Prom on Valentine’s Day, Friday, Feb. 14.

The soiree will add an element of love to the Glendale Community Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 5401 W. Ocotillo Road.

Glendale, in partnership with the YWCA, will host this nostalgic night for anyone ages 55 and older. A photo booth will be set up to capture their looks and dancers can refuel with refreshments or take a break from the dance floor with outdoor games, including cornhole and Connect 4.

Plus, one lucky lady and a charmed man will be crowned prom queen and king.

Those who want to spin around the dance floor at this gathering should call 623-930-4700 or RSVP in person at the community center during regular hours of operation.
