Glendale Police lead drug take back events

Drug take back events are available at two different sites in Glendale this weekend.
The Glendale Police Department, Fry's Food Stores, Rise Up Glendale and the Drug Enforcement Administration are providing Glendale residents an opportunity to safely and conveniently dispose of expired, enwated and unused pharmaceutical substances.
Both locations are available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. The northern site is in the Fry's parking lot at 5771 W. Thunderbird Road, the southeast corner af 59th and Thunderbird. The southern site is is in the Fry's parking lot at 6710 W. Bethany Home Road, the northwest corner of 67th and Bethany Home.
Controlled and non-controlled pills, tablets and capsules will be accepted as will over the counter medications. Attendees are asked to bag items.
Sharps medical waste is accepted if it is a reasonable amount. Organizers cannot accept glass containers, inhalers, intravenous solutions or injectable drugs.
