Glendale council debates anew on location of City Hall offices

A question from a newer Glendale City Council member during the Aug. 26 workshop reopened a old debate.

During the latest Downtown Campus Reinvestment Project — read new City Hall — update, Councilmember Dianna Guzman asked why the mayor’s and council members’ offices are not on the fourth floor. Instead they are planned on the ground floor.

“I know this was done before I became a council member here, but were the mayor and council members consulted as to where they would like to have their offices? Or was it just decided for us?” Guzman asked. “I’d like it to be considered to bring the offices out of the garden level and up to the fourth floor.”
