Sixty years ago, the land where the main campus of Glendale Community College currently stands was a farm, surrounded by crop land and citrus groves.
Today, GCC is home to a college community at 59th and Olive avenues in one of the fastest-growing metro areas in the United States.
To acknowledge the tremendous growth of GCC and its impact on Glendale and surrounding communities for six decades, Glendale Community College will hold a 60th Anniversary celebration from 3:30–6 p.m. April 1 at the Central Mall of the main GCC Campus.
