An alliance of superheroes and other larger-than-life characters will converge with comic book artists as participants embark on a scavenger hunt and engage in other activities that celebrate all things “geekdom” at a special event in downtown Glendale.

Free Comic Book Day is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 2. Attendees may pick up free comic books and mingle with comic book artists and authors and view their artwork.
