Glendale City Council reconvenes with busy workshop

Discussions include e-scooters, peafowl, vapes

With its one-and-a-half month summer break over, the Glendale City Council returns with a fairly busy workshop and what should be a quick voting meeting on Aug. 12.

Three of the four agenda items are related to current ordinances or are in consideration of a new ordinance.

Glendale City Code lacks regulations for e-bikes and e-scooters, other than a couple mentions in the parks code. At the workshop, council members will discuss whether to adopt an ordinance defining these bikes and scooters and limiting areas where they may be ridden - as well as a minimum age requirement for riders.
