Grab flapper dresses, boas, three-piece suits or golf knickers and get ready to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Glendale’s Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center.
Glendale Parks and Recreation Department’s “Roaring Into 20 Years” anniversary open house, where everyone is encouraged to dress like a flapper or dapper gentleman in the 1920s to try their luck in a costume contest. The party is 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 at FRAC, 5600 W. Union Hills Drive.
Guests can shimmy their way through a Zumba party and play trivia and board games, feast on cake and capture the moments at a photo booth.

Glendale Parks and Recreation Department’s “Roaring Into 20 Years” anniversary open house, where everyone is encouraged to dress like a flapper or dapper gentleman in the 1920s to try their luck in a costume contest. The party is 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 at FRAC, 5600 W. Union Hills Drive.

This facility brings together residents and visitors for recreational and aerobic classes for all fitness levels, as well as to use free weights, a strength-training circuit and cardio equipment.
FRAC also features a full-size gymnasium for basketball, badminton and pickleball, along with an indoor walking/jogging track, a rock-climbing wall and a year-round, outdoor heated pool for lap swimming, water aerobics and Red Cross lifeguard/instructor certification. Recreational swimming is available all summer.
Glendale Parks and Recreation employees, as well as employees from other departments will be at this free. It is free celebration, which is open to the public.
