Glendale Community College recently announce the launch of its GCC Achieve Entrepreneurship Workshops designed to inspire and equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the essential skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s business environment.
Workshops begin Friday, Sept. 13, at GCC’s main campus, 6000 W. Olive Ave. These sessions are open to students, local business owners, and community members interested in cultivating their entrepreneurial spirit.
Workshops aim to address the diverse needs of entrepreneurs at various stages of their journey. The curriculum covers topics, including business plan development, marketing strategies, business opportunities, and legal considerations.
Participants have the opportunity to engage with industry experts, network, and gain practical insights through interactive sessions and exercises.
It is also an opportunity to learn from experienced entrepreneurs and industry professionals. Participants can connect with local business leaders, potential mentors, and fellow entrepreneurs.
“We are thrilled to launch these Entrepreneurship Workshops as part of our commitment to fostering innovation and supporting our community. By providing access to top-notch resources and expert guidance, we hope to empower individuals to turn their business ideas into successful ventures,” stated Rachelle Hall, chair of the business and information technology department at GCC, in a press release.
Sara Presler, a former Mayor of Flagstaff and an attorney who serves as a consulant for the cannabis industry, leads "How to Start a Business," from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 13.
The workshops will run as a series of sessions throughout the academic year, with flexible scheduling. Participants can choose from single sessions or attend the full series.
Registration is now open, and those interested are encouraged to sign up at this link early as spaces are limited.
