Glendale cancels most boards and commission meetings, tells public to view City Council meetings online

Announcement made over coronavirus concerns

Posted

The city of Glendale doesn't want the public gathering at city meetings due to concerns of spreading the coronavirus.

The city has cancelled all board and commission meetings that are not required by law and is encouraging the public to view City Council meetings online or on TV rather than come in person.

Community meetings and outreach events in city buildings are also temporarily suspended, and city staff will not be attending community meetings during this time.

City Council meetings and Planning Commission meetings can be watched live on government access Channel 11 or streamed live or watched back later here or on the city's Facebook page.

Wednesday's Planning Commission meeting is still scheduled to take place, according to the city's meeting schedule.
