Glendale calls on residents to create guide for Super Bowl visitors

Voting process open Oct. 10-Nov. 4

The city of Glendale invites residents to submit nominations for their favorite Glendale businesses in 12 categories. The final selection will result in the creation of the very first “Locals Guide to Glendale” ahead of Super Bowl LVII on Feb. 12.

The selection process will include three steps.

The first phase of the campaign will engage the community and local businesses in the nomination stage.  Participants will complete a brief survey where they nominate their top Glendale based business in each of the 12 categories. The nomination survey will open Monday, Oct. 10 and will remain open until Friday, Nov. 4.

Nominations will determine the top five businesses in each category.

Phase two consists of a final vote from the community. Final voting will take place Wednesday, Nov. 9 to Dec. 7. The final vote will establish the top three winners in each category.

Businesses with the most votes will receive prominent placement in the guide, while the two runner-ups will receive honorable mentions. The city will announce the winners once the final voting concludes. Winners will earn a certificate of recognition and the privilege of being promoted directly to visitors and residents across various platforms once the final guide is produced.

The final “Locals Guide to Glendale” will be available throughout the city. Visitors will be able to access the guide via QR codes at many locations including hotels, retailers, digitally and more.

Click here to access the nomination survey.

Survey participants will have the opportunity to win prizes for providing their recommendations. Each submitted nomination will be an entry for a prize drawing, and the winner will receive two tickets to an event in a suite at Desert Diamond Arena in 2023.

Participants must be 21 years of age or older to win. Only one entry per IP address will be allowed. Nominations will be counted only for businesses located in Glendale.
