Glendale black business owners' vendor fair steadily grows

Lorraine Taylor of Sun City has been involved in black business and cultural festivals for decades, since she was a teen in Tucson.

She was at the first Black Business Owners Coalition of Glendale Vendor Extravaganza near Velma Teague Library in 2022. On Feb 28 she got to see how the event, back in downtown Glendale for 2026, has grown.

“It was very sparse at that time, but we still had representation. Each year I have participated and it has grown, People seem to enjoy themselves,” Taylor said. “You get to meet a lot of different people.”
