QUEEN CREEK — Two Mountain Ridge girls soccer players appeared to be knocked to the turf in the final seconds of the team’s Feb. 17 Open Division quarterfinal loss.
The Mountain Lions’ coach said those are the breaks that go the winning side’s way.
“In a match like this, everythinghas to go your way,” Mountain Ridge coach Ryne Jakubos said after the team’s 3-2 loss at Casteel. “Calls, no-calls, corner kicks, balls in the back of the net — everything has to fall into place, in addition to all the hard work we put in.”
