DAR chapter donates books to Glendale Elementary School District

A grant will provide Glendale Elementary School District with 60 new books.

The Anasazi Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, as part of the America 250! initiative celebrating July 4, 2026, submitted a grant request to the National Society to be able to provide books related to the American Revolution to the local school district.

With the support and guidance of District Librarian John Moritz, Anasazi purchased five books for each school and delivered them to the district board. The books focus on the Revolutionary War, the Constitution and historical people who played a significant role in events of the time.

The Anasazi Chapter is located in Glendale and supports the community in areas of historic preservation, patriotism and education.

They meet the third Saturday of the month from September through May.
