Gorman & Company and the city of Glendale led a behind the build tour of Centerline on Glendale Jan. 17, before the affordable housig development opens to the public.
Centerline is at 6775 N. 67th Ave.
The total development cost of this project is $120 million for nine buildings and 368 units). It was the first affordable housing development in Arizona to receive Arizona state tax credits to assist with financing.
Gorman & Company has partnered with Local First Arizona to lease a commercial kitchen on the ground floor of one of the buildings. Local First Arizona will offer Centerline residents with food-based businesses to rent the kitchen space for much less.
This pioneering project redefines housing initiatives in Arizona. The 368-unit solar-powered affordable multi-family community will soon be ready for residents to call home.
The public will soonbe invited to a guided walking tour of the two-phase development and learn about the collaboration of partners and funders.
