One year almost to the day that sports betting became legal in Arizona, the newest sportsbook is now open in Glendale within punting distance of State Farm Stadium.
Dignitaries gathered Thursday morning to cut the ceremonial ribbon and officially open the BetMGM Sportsbook for business. The timing not only coincides with the one-year anniversary of legal sports betting in Arizona on Sept. 9 but also with the opening of the NFL season tonight, as well as opening day for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, Sept. 11 when the Kansas City Chiefs visit Glendale.
The facility officially opens to the public this Sunday at 9 a.m.
