Ballet Arizona makes its return to Glendale for “Ballet Under the Stars” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1 in Sahuaro Ranch Historic Park, 9802 N. 59th Ave.
This free, family-friendly performance brings professional ballet into the heart of the community.
Set against the backdrop of Glendale’s historic park, the evening will feature a program of classical and contemporary works performed by Ballet Arizona. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
“The Office of Arts and Culture and the Glendale Arts Commission is honored to continue our sponsorship of Ballet Under the Stars, and to be a host city for this dynamic event. Ballet Arizona’s focus on established, recognizable stories interwoven with new tales makes the evening more connectable for our audiences,” Chris Taylor, arts and culture administrator, stated in a press release.
Ballet Under the Stars is part of Ballet Arizona’s mission to make ballet accessible to all Arizonans. These performances are part of Glendale’s continued commitment to increase arts and cultural opportunities for residents.
Beginning at 5, guests can enjoy pre-show activities including live music, and outdoor games. Food vendors offering burgers, popcorn and dessert, as well as community booths on site add to the experience.
