Stage Left Productions presents ‘Truce’ most of April

Stage Left Productions has moved on to its third play of its 2025 season this month.

“Truce” started last weekend and will run through April 27. It is the premiere of an original play written by  Stage Left artistic director Cody Dull.

All Hank wants is an “old fashioned Christmas.” But there is one problem, his family.

His daughter returns after a 20-year hiatus with a son he has never met. His son can’t hold a job and has been in jail more times than he can count. His partner of over twenty years is feeling left out, and to top it all off his ex-wife is a force to be reckoned with.

Let’s not forget the boisterous vibrant neighbor who couldn’t keep a secret if her life depended on it. Will Hank get what he wants or will everyone keep him from calling a “Truce.”

The cast features local actors and includes:

• Hank — Robert Peters
• Tommy — Matt Clarke
• Jake — Taylor Aldridge
• Lily — Alana Samuels
• Danny — Ty Klassen
• Marge — Pat Drapac

• Vera — Siobhan Henry

Cody Gouldert directs. Shows will be at 7 p.m. April 10, 11, 12, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26. Matinees are at 2 p.m. April 13, April 18 and April 27.

The new Stage Left Productions theater is located at 5930 W. Greenway Road, Suite 1A, in Glendale. The new location features a 60-65 seat theater.

The theater previously spent nine years in Surprise.

Stage Left Productions is still early in a busy 2025 slate.

Following “Truce” is “The Almost Totally True Story of Hansel and Gretel” (May 1-24); “The Outsiders” (June 5-14); “The Miss Firecracker Contest” (July 11-Aug. 3); “George Washington Ate My Homework” (Sept. 4-13); “The Rocky Horror Show” (Oct. 10-31); “Honk Jr.” (Nov. 13-22); “A Seussified Christmas Carol” (Nov. 29-Dec. 20); and “Who’s Holiday” (Dec. 3-21).
