Valley residents have two chances to support dogs in need this fall when Arizona Golden Rescue hosts its Chicken N Pickle and Dine Out With the Dogs fundraisers.
Arizona Golden Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization working to find homes for golden retrievers and golden mixes. The group’s president, Deb Orwig, stated in an email that she started the Golden Rescue because she felt there was a need for it in the Valley.
Since its inception in 2009, it has rescued 1,532 dogs. Of those, 48 have come in 2026.
