A 28-year-old man fatally shot by a Gilbert Police officer early Sept. 15 has been identified as Maximillian Bronson as an outside investigation into the shooting continues.
Gilbert police released Bronson’s identity Sept. 16, a day after an officer shot him while responding to a call near the 900 block of East San Remo.
The officer-involved shooting is being investigated by the East Valley Critical Incident Response Team, with the Mesa Police Department serving as the primary investigating agency.
