Higley Unified School District has again earned an A rating from the Arizona State Board of Education, marking the third consecutive year the district has received the state's highest designation.
The district earned an overall A rating, while 12 of its 13 schools also received A grades under Arizona's accountability system.
The grading system evaluates schools based on factors including student academic growth, proficiency in English language arts, mathematics and science, progress of English language learners, graduation rates, and college and career readiness indicators.
Superintendent David Loutzenheiser credited the achievement to the combined efforts of students, educators, families and the community.
"We're here to prepare learners for limitless opportunities, and this is just further evidence that when students come to our campuses, they're getting those opportunities to perform at the highest level," he said. "This success doesn't happen without the hard work of our talented educators and the support of our families and our community."
District officials said the ratings reflect the ongoing commitment of students, teachers, staff, families and community partners.
With an overall A designation and 12 schools earning A grades, Higley Unified remains among the state's highest-performing public school districts. The remaining school, Cooley Middle School, received a B.
