Gilbert to light Water Tower for holidays Nov. 28

The town of Gilbert will hold its annual lighting of the Gilbert Water Tower on Monday, Nov. 28. 

Mayor Brigette Peterson and the town council will attend the event that includes horse-drawn carriage rides, photo opportunities, inflatables, food trucks and live holiday music from local artist Ryan Ralston. The activities feature a gingerbread slide, a Candyland obstacle course and a wrapped gift box bounce structure. 

The free event will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Water Tower Plaza, 45 W. Page Ave., Gilbert. 

Commuters should note road closures will be in place for the event from 2-10 p.m. NoNov. 28 on Page Avenue, which will be closed from Gilbert Road to Vaughn Avenue, and Ash Street, which will be closed from Vaughn Avenue to the railroad tracks 

Gilbert offers a variety of free parking options at Heritage District Parking Lot No. 1, Hearne Plaza Garage and Heritage District Parking Garage. 

Following the kickoff event Nov. 28, the Gilbert Water Tower will continue to be lit with holiday colors every evening through Jan. 2. The lights will be synchronized to holiday music every half hour from 5:30-10 p.m.
