Gilbert keeping Flock cameras as council members weigh crime-fighting benefits, privacy

By taking this position publicly, the Town of Gilbert has just opened the door to a flood of privacy act violations. There is too much evidence of abuse to deny that the possibility exists in Gilbert (and may be happening right now) and without action to remove the cameras and the stored metadata the town is ripe for hackers and "others" to take full advantage of the opportunity to collect a very large settlement check. — Roy C.
