Gilbert police find no evidence of foul play in fatal car fire

Gilbert police and fire departments are investigating a car fire death in town.

Gilbert Police said investigators have found no evidence of criminal involvement or foul play after an adult was found dead inside a vehicle that caught fire early Sept. 23.

Gilbert Police and Gilbert Fire & Rescue responded just before 12:30 a.m. to a vehicle fire in a business complex near Higley and Williams Field roads, according to police.

After firefighters extinguished the blaze, an adult was found dead inside the vehicle. Police have not released the identity of the person who died.
