Gilbert launches holiday campaign to boost local shopping
Holiday shopping at Urbana in Agritopia's Epicenter is among the places in the shopper's guide.

Discover Gilbert has launched its annual holiday shopping campaign, encouraging residents and visitors to support local businesses through a digital guide featuring merchant specials and seasonal events.
The “Shop Local, Celebrate Big” initiative includes the Shop Gilbert guide, a mobile-friendly directory highlighting promotions at retailers across town, as well as holiday markets and craft fairs. The campaign coincides with Small Business Saturday on Nov. 29, part of the Thanksgiving weekend shopping period.
The guide, available at discovergilbert.com/shopgilbert, allows users to check in at more than 50 participating locations via GPS to earn points toward prizes.

This season’s rewards include Gilbert-themed stickers designed by local artist Jon Arvizu and produced by High Jinks, a Gilbert-based creative company. The sticker collection features illustrations of notable attractions in the community.
Discover Gilbert will also offer complimentary holiday postcards at its two visitor kiosks: HD South – Home of the Gilbert Museum, 10 S. Gilbert Road, and Why I Love Where I Live at Epicenter at Agritopia, 3150 E. Ray Road, Suite 174.
Postcards are available while supplies last. Discovery Center ambassadors will provide information on holiday events and activities.
