Former Twisted Chef site sells in Gilbert

The former Twisted Chef Cantina site has been sold.

An entity tracing to Nava Thurasingam acquired property at 748 N. Gilbert Road from Romulus Inc. March 26 for $1.8 million, according to commercial real estate website vizzda.com.

The property has a 3,277-square-foot freestanding fast food restaurant in one single-story building built 2001 on one acre zoned service commercial by the town of Gilbert.

The building formerly housed Panda Libre (later renamed Kung Pow Restaurant) and Twisted Chef Cantina. At one time it was scheduled to demolished and replaced with a three-minute car wash.
