Arizona BBQ Company in Gilbert announces it will close

Posted

Arizona BBQ Company announced March 16 on social media that it will close permanently March 23 at 1534 E. Ray Road, suite 110, Gilbert.

"Despite exhaustive efforts to adjust our business model and reduce costs, the persistent downturn in business, exacerbated by the current economic climate and continual rising operational costs, makes it no longer a viable option for Arizona BBQ Company to remain open," the post read.

The restaurant from Cordon Bleu-trained chef Mark Nichols served barbecue that was cooked non-traditionally by smoking the meat for six hours and then finishing it off  in a mirepoix-based braise, when it is sealed to hold moisture in and break down fat.
