Briefly describe your business/services offered: AZ StRUT collects used technology (working or not) from corporations, schools and the public. We partner with schools to refurbish or reuse what we can, then recycle the rest responsibly.
What made you choose this line of work and why is it important or interesting to you? AZ StRUT was established by Motorola and Intel, large corporations working together to reuse their old technology instead of throwing it away.
At the end of the day, what brings you the most joy or is the most rewarding aspect about your business? Giving back to the under-served community is very important to our organization. This year, as we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we will have donated over 100,000 units back to the community throughout our 25 years. Another great accomplishment is in 2022, we processed over 533 tons of electronics, keeping it out of the landfill. We are very proud of our impact to the community!
What separates you from your competition? We are a 501(c)(3) Technical Education Refurbisher.
What civic groups, clubs, organizations or causes do you or your business support? This year, we joined Mesa Chamber of Commerce. We partner with AZ Rotary clubs (Tempe, Phoenix & Mesa).
Anything interesting about yourself and your profession: We combine environmental and technical education practices.
