The Pinal County Historical Museum is recognizing the people who helped organize its  "First Saturday Family Day."

The 2024 President's Award was given to Sabine Michael, Shirley Baker and Barb Kelly. In addition to being part of  the Family Day team, Kelly is the museum's Visitor Experience manager, according to a post on PCHM's Facebook page.

With a goal of reaching young people, PCHM developed and launched First Saturday Family Day in September. The day features fun and educational activities for kids.

Kids can participate in a museum scavenger hunt, a children's activity nook, local geology activities, backyard bingo and more.

Children 18 and under get in free. The cost for each adult is $7. The museum waives admission fees for children to make the day an affordable, educational  and family friendly experience for the whole community, the museum's website stated.

Family Fun Day takes place on the first Saturday of every month from September to June.  The next Family Fun Day is set for April 6.
