Florence aquatic center reopens Saturday

Nothing says summer like the Florence Aquatic Center and summer officially begins when the center opens on Saturday, May 25.
The town is kicking off Water Safety Month with its Water Safety Day during the grand reopening of the aquatic center, 174 W. First St. Residents will have the opportunity to check out the facility and sign up for summer swimming lessons, a town of Florence Facebook post stated.
Locals can enjoy the center’s amenities, including a competition lap pool, diving boards, water slides and a family play pool with a zero-depth entry that’s perfect for kids. The center also has shaded areas and a family dressing room.
The aquatic center’s opening day begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday and admission is free.
Here’s the aquatic center’s schedule for the rest of the Memorial Day weekend:
1-5 p.m.
Sunday, May 26
$2 for children 17 and under
$4 for adults 18 and up
1-4 p.m.
Monday, May 27
$2 for children 17 and under
$4 for adults 18 and up
