CAC offers new program scholarships

The Central Arizona College Foundation has announced a new scholarship for students interested in becoming commercial electrician installers.

The BrightNight Power Commercial Electrician Installer Scholarship will award $1,350 scholarships to 10 recipients through the year 2027.

Students must be registered in CAC’s Commercial Electrician-Installer Certificate program offered at the college’s Superstition Mountain Campus in Apache Junction and must complete the required 18 credit hours to achieve commercial certification.

The Commercial Electrician-Installer Certificate prepares individuals for an entry-level position in the commercial electrician field. The program focuses on fundamental knowledge attained in accordance with National Center for Construction Education and Research standards.

Options within the certificate allow individuals to tailor their career pathway with additional skill sets. This certificate also offers the opportunity to obtain national certification from the NCCER.

BrightNight Power, in partnership with Cordelio Power, recently broke ground on a 300MW Box Canyon solar project in Pinal County. Operations are expected to begin in early 2025.

For more information or to apply individuals should visit centralaz.edu/scholarships.

CAC has campuses in Apache Junction, San Tan Valley, Coolidge, Winkleman and Maricopa.
