A Phoenix Mexican restaurant ownership group is opening a second location in Chandler this fall

The Mexicano is bringing its build-your-own margarita bar to the 3095 W. Chandler Blvd., adjacent to the Chandler Fashion Center, to a location formerly occupied by Howler’s Restaurant & Sports Bar.

Founded in 2021 by The Maggiore Group, the restaurant team is also behind The Rosticceria, Hash Kitchen, The Sicilian Butcher and The Sicilian Baker.

The Mexicano by Chef Joey Concepts aims to stay true to Mexican traditions while incorporating fusion cuisine including birria bao buns and more, such as the guacamole and salsa Ferris wheel.

The new location will also feature the concept’s daily happy hour with specials on classico margaritas, Mexican draft beer, sangria, cocktails and $3 tacos including al pastor, chicken tinga and the “Best f#*%ing 3-foot Birria.”
