Petty Officer Third Class Nicholas Poisson, a native of Falcon, Colo., with family ties to Chandler, serves the U.S. Navy assigned to the “Scorpions” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 49.
Poisson graduated from Falcon High School in 2023.
“My hometown was fairly small, so it taught me the importance of my reputation,” Poisson said. “In my line of work, it’s a very small community; there are fewer than 700 members in the entire Navy, so similar to that small town, if you get that bad reputation, that will follow you wherever you go.”
