A foundation and an East Valley business are partnering for a supply drive for young people in need.
The Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation is partnering with Subaru Superstore of Chandler and community volunteers to assemble care packages for foster youth in the foundation's post-secondary program. The program serves young adults aged 18-26 pursuing higher education.
A team of volunteers and staff members from AFFCF will be present to assist with the packing effort. The event’s goal is to prepare 80 care packages containing comfort items like blankets and fuzzy socks, a heating pad, personal hygiene items, a book, gift cards, snacks, and encouraging letters from community members.
The event will be hosted by Subaru as part of the vehicle maker’s annual Share the Love campaign. While the packing event won't be open to the public, everyone can doante to the campaign or the foundation by clicking here.
AFFCF is a Phoenix-based nonprofit that states it empowers Arizona’s foster youth through funding services that enrich, educate and empower their lives, ensuring a successful transition into adulthood.
