Grand opening Wednesday for The Mexicano of Chandler

The Mexicano is set to open Wednesday, April 2 in a location along the northern edge of the Chandler Fashion Center complex, formerly occupied by The Howler sports bar.
The Mexicano is set to open Wednesday, April 2 in a location along the northern edge of the Chandler Fashion Center complex, formerly occupied by The Howler sports bar.
It’s the second Mexicano location for chef Joey Maggiore, and will feature tacos with cochinita pibil and chicken tinga tacos, birria bao buns, a full bar with margarita choices and the guacamole and salsa Ferris wheel.
Designed by the chef’s wife, Cristina Maggiore, the Chandler location will have indoor and outdoor seating, and a custom deejay booth for daily entertainment, rotating deejays spinning Latin music 7 days per week, fire dancers and special appearances by local Mariachi bands.
The grand opening celebration starts at 4 p.m. on Wednesday with food, drinks and live entertainment to welcome guests. The first 200 patrons through the door will receive special Mexicano swag, and there will also be a $500 Mexicano gift card giveaway for one lucky winner.
