When Margie Chamalbide was recognized at the March 25 Chandler Unified Governing Board meeting, Superintendent Frank Narducci’s description of her abilities on a school campus sounded almost superhuman.
Eventually, during a moment acknowledging Chamalbide’s 45 years with the district, Narducci dialed it back to “You have blessed our children with your perseverance, your care and your support.”
Chamalbide’s husband, Rodrigo Mendoza, and many family and friends were in the boardroom to see her receive a certificate, a special 45-year writing pen and other gifts.
