A busy specialty restaurant in north Chandler has had to close temporarily.
Si Señor Restaurant of Arizona, at Alma School Road and Galveston Street, had to close due to a fire.
“Hello, our wonderful community,” management posted to its social media on Aug. 5. “This last Saturday (Aug. 2), right before close, we had a fire in the building and now are temporarily closed. We are working on this matter to get us back up and running as soon as possible. We cannot express how much all of your love and support means to us. We will keep you all updated on any changes. Be back soon!”
The post was followed with several local municpalities as hashtags, along with #wethankyou.
Si Señor’s has been in the Waterfall Shopping Center on the northwest corner of Alma School Road and Galveston since it opened in October 2001.
It’s one of only a handful of New Mexican cuisine places in the East Valley and probably one of a dozen or so in the Valley as a whole.
Bragging on making New Mexican cuisine affordable, Si Señor says it uses chile from a farm in Hatch, New Mexico. Sopaipillas are among their signature items.
