The Chandler Police Department Traffic Unit will be conducting a “Click It or Ticket” seat belt enforcement campaign from May 19 to June 1.

Funded by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, Arizona first responders are encouraging drivers and vehicle riders to buckle up -- every ride, every time.

Wearing your seatbelt is one of the easiest and most effective ways to protect oneself and loved ones in a crash, a news release states. Whether at the wheel or riding as a passenger, make it a habit to click it— every trip, no matter how short.

Ensure children are secure in the correct car seats or booster seats and encourage others to do the same. Seat belts save lives.
