Chandler Police have identified the two poeple found in a home Feb. 14 as an apparent murder-suicide.
At about 11:45 a.m. on Feb. 14, according to a news release, Chandler police officers received a call from a "concerned individual." That person was worried about a woman colleague who had not logged in to work.
Chandler officers responded to a home in the 1600 block of W. Pelican Drive, near Dobson and Germann roads, to conduct a welfare check. Upon arrival, an officer observed a man and female laying on the ground through a window.
"We can confirm that the deaths were a result of a murder-suicide," police stated in the relase. "Next of kin notifications are complete."
The victims have been identified as Nathan Ridgely, a man in his 50s, and his sister, Jocelyn Ridgely, a woman in her 40s. Police didn't state any apparent means of death.
While the investigation is still ongoing, police believe "mental-health issues" involving Nathan Ridgely contributed to the incident, the release states.
There are no outstanding suspects in this case and no danger to the community, police stated.
