Chandler Fire Chief Tom Dwiggins seemed surprised when Chamber of Commerce representatives presented him with an award.
Dwiggins is the recipient of the 2026 James R. Snedigar Public Service Award. The award goes to a city public safety employee who goes above and beyond the call of duty in service to the community, according to the Chamber's website.
When presenting the award to Dwiggins at a City Council meeting, Chamber Director Terri Kimble didn't elaborate much on Dwiggins' specific work in the community, but said he goes well beyond the call for city residents.
