The home, described online as "one with a Laverne & Shirley basement," is likely a total loss. Photos and video show firefighters battling flames coming up through a hole in the roof.
The release, from the Chandler Fire Department, stated investigators are currently working to determine the cause. But other media reports state that Chandler Police said it is being investigated as possibly arson.
The Chandler release states May 4 is widely recognized as International Firefighters Day.
