Chandler Council OKs airport repaving contract

The Chandler City Council authorized a hangar-area pavement reconstruction project as most of the nearly $5 million in combined Municipal Airport expenses it approved at its July 17 meeting.

Three of the dozens of items the Chandler City Council authorized by unanimously passing its July 17 consent agenda were for its Municipal Airport.

A hangar-area pavement reconstruction project and the management services account for most of the nearly $5 million in combined expenses; only $223,000 will go to SDB, Inc. for annual airport pavement maintenance.

Combs Construction Company, Inc., was awarded the main contract for hangar area pavement reconstruction, worth $4,460,000.
