Chandler resident George D. Rose Sr. has released a new children’s adventure book, “Mill Race: The Race of His Life Begins,” according to a news release.

The story is inspired by Rose’s childhood exploration of the woods and waterways of upstate New York, the release states.

The story follows a young boy who discovers that a long-dormant mill has mysteriously begun turning again, only to learn that a family of beavers has rebuilt a dam that set everything in motion.
