Vivienne Johnson was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on Dec. 5, 1921.
Earlier this month, she celebrated her 103rd birthday, according to a news release.
The celebration took place the afternoon of Dec. 6 at the Robson Reserve senior living community in Sun Lakes resident. Johnson, a resident of the community for more than 18 years, makes a positive impact, the release states, inspiring others with her zest for life, wittiness and genuine interest in fellow residents.
Johnson attended North Texas State Teachers College and became a teacher. She has three children, five grandchildren and says she’s lost count of the many great-grandchildren.
Johnson was born a little more than a year after the 19th Amendment was certified, giving women the right to vote. She was an adult during World War II and was in her forties at the time of the first moon landing.
She moved to Robson Reserve at Sun Lakes in 2006.
Johnson jokes that Subway and Burger King are the reason she has reached 103, the release states.
The celebration included a special happy-hour event.
