Chandler High School's halls will be filled with well-supplied Wolves this fall, thanks to a recent donation from a Phoenix company.
CHS and the Chandler Unified School District thanked Western Transport Logistics after the company donated 250 supplies-filled backpacks to students during Chandler High School’s Aug. 1 open house.
One of the company’s employees — a former Chandler High student who once needed a backpack — was on hand for the event.
Chandler High, acccoding to a news release, opened in 1918 and is one of Arizona’s oldest high schools, filled with history and memories.
The event was one of several school-related deliveries that was made in the Chandler area over the past few weeks.
Chandler Unified was among the Valley districts to start the 2024-25 school year the earliest, with students returning on July 17.
